ACD is always looking for ways to expand our service offerings to meet the needs of our clients. Currently, these types of projects are offered to our existing contracted agents first. Because of the popularity of data entry work, it may not be available immediately to onboarding agents.
Currently, we are onboarding for our client needs. Those that have completed the entire 3-step registration process (online registration, vocal demonstration, and computer system verification) are currently in queue for review. We strive to select the most competitive candidates who match our current client needs to join our network of agents. We cannot guarantee when each review of submissions will take place; however, those invited to certify will be notified via email. Feel free to contact email@example.com to check the status of your registration.
Having a business entity is NOT required, unless you reside in the state of Utah. However, having a business entity does make you more competitive, when it comes to contract renewals/extensions and future project opportunities. If you do not currently have a business entity, it is okay. You can establish one in the future, after you have had a chance to experience ACD for yourself!
Once you submit our registration form, you will automatically receive instructions on how to submit a voice sample. Once the voice sample has been submitted, you will need to send an email including your full name, and the phone number you called from to firstname.lastname@example.org. Your submissions will be reviewed as quickly as possible. Please allow 5 business days to receive a response from us. Yes. We do conduct a background check on all our agents.
The following are, but not limited to, reasons for disqualification:
We do not offer compensation or payment for any certification courses completed. From time to time, we may offer incentives to complete certification within a specific time period.
ACD does not offer live certification classes. All "new agent" certification is online and self-paced. Once onboarding has been completed, you will be sent an email with information on how to complete certification. Although certification is completed at your own pace and on your own time, please keep in mind that it should be completed within a 14-day period from the completion of onboarding.
This will vary from agent to agent. On average, agents have completed new agent certification within 6 - 8 hours. We recommend scheduling your self-paced certification when you have time to thoroughly review the modules, exercises, and quizzes in order to repeat (if necessary) and retain as much of the material as possible. It is also important to note that certification should be completed within a 14-day period.
Thank you for your continued interest in ACD, please complete and submit a new registration form. Eligibility to return will be based on individual circumstances. If you have any further questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
ACD currently does not accept applications from residents of California, Delaware, Massachusetts, Louisiana, West Virginia, Wyoming, Vermont,
Washington and South Dakota.
Unfortunately, due to the residential state laws regarding independent contractor requirements, we do not have opportunities in the above states at this time. You can always check back on our site for any updates for your location.
Yes, you select and maintain your own schedule from our online scheduling tool. You can select to work the times and days that work with your personal and professional schedule. During campaigns, our highest call volume typically occurs evenings, nights, overnights and weekends - which offers plenty of shift opportunities! While there are no minimum or maximum hours you are required to schedule, ACD does look at agents who have been reliable and consistent in scheduling and call processing when contract renewals and extensions are available.
ACD does not have a minimum number of hours or shifts required each week/month. However, we do look at those agents who are consistently active - whether it is actively working shifts, actively learning/certifying for other clients, or actively improving and honing your skills within our practice scripts - first for contract renewals.
An independent contractor is a person, business, or corporation that provides goods or services to another entity under terms specified in a contract or within a verbal agreement. This form is merely a report of the money paid; independent contractors do not have income taxes withheld like regular employees.
Agents providing their customer service skills to ACD are operating as Independent Contractors. As an independent contractor, agents are responsible for maintaining office requirements and are responsible for reporting earned income to the IRS annually during each specified filing period. We provide a 1099 for those agents who have earned over $600 during any calendar year.
Since you would be an Independent Contractor, you would not be eligible to receive any employee benefits such as health insurance or paid vacation time through ACD.
Call volume varies based on agent certification. The more skills you are certified in the more potential for call volume and income. Due to scheduling inconsistencies among agents and agent certification, we are unable to provide an average call volume per agent. Those that schedule during peak times do see higher call volume. Peak scheduling during campaign occurs during evening, nights and weekends.

You will need to contact us once the agent has worked their 20 shifts. Once confirmed, we will add the incentive to your invoice. Please note they must put your name in the "referred by" field to be eligible for the incentive. Once complete, please email email@example.com.

Pay dates generally fall around the 5th and 20th of each month (depending on weekends and holidays). We also offer pay advance options should you need to get paid prior to the designated invoice processing dates.

You will also have access to the client FAQs located within each script, our knowledge base and chat support to assist you when you are handling live calls. When scheduled to work, you should be signed into our chat room where we have Chat Room Monitors (CRMs) available 24/7 to assist with any call questions you may have. Unfortunately, we are currently assessing our independent contracting structure and subcontracting opportunities. However, if you would like to be considered for subcontracting in the future, please email firstname.lastname@example.org telling us about yourself, your business, and the details of your subcontracting proposal (including number of agents you currently have and how many you have access to). Should your business proposal match our needs, we will be in contact for further arrangements.
Communication is key! ACD offers various levels of "inactivity" which can still be maintained during a contract period. We recommend using the self-deactivation option that best fits your needs. If you need longer, then please communicate this using our internal ticketing system. Depending on the circumstances, we'll be able to work with you on a case-by-case basis.
Yes, monthly contracts can be terminated by you and/or ACD at any given time. Typical reasons for contract terminations related to quality concerns and/or contract breaches.
Many of our clients are fundraising nonprofit organizations. We handle a wide range of donation contacts and customer service contacts for PBS and NPR stations nationwide, as well as child, veteran, spiritual and pet/animal-friendly organizations.
